The Park Chateau
The European-style wedding venue of our dreams.
The Park Chateau was impressive from the moment we pulled up and the grand curb appeal quickly washed away our doubts about the distance from NYC. The venue was hosting its very first wedding the day of our initial tour so there was a sense of newly-minted perfection and excitement from the staff. We visited a lot between the first time and the big day and I will say this: The. Perfection. Never. Wore. Off.
July 28, 2018 finally came after months of planning and The Park Chateau had their game faces on, anticipating our every need in the bridal & groom’s suites and making sure every detail was perfectly in place for the ceremony and cocktail hour/reception. I was appointed a bridal assistant for the day who helped me do.. well, everything. Including bringing me water with a bendy straw TO THE DANCE FLOOR. My husband and I (and for that matter, our guests) did not have to be distracted by the mundane even once. The cocktail hour - which I have come to find it almost strictly a New York metro thing - was abundant and gorgeously displayed and a lot of our guests were shocked to find that it was merely round 1.
Since this is a fair, impartial review - I am morally obligated to share a downside. THE only thing wrong with The Park Chateau is that they are too popular! To accommodate everyone, they host afternoon weddings and night weddings on the same day, which restricts you on arrival time. We were not access the bridal and groom’s suites until 2pm on the afternoon of our wedding (which began at 6pm). So, while a bummer, certainly not a deal-breaker.
